I have at least four projects on needles right now. I'm still working on a scarf that I feel like I started forever ago...even though it was probably only 8 or 9 months ago. I'm still not done...three skeins of yarn gone and I'm not even half-way done with this scarf. Seriously. And I'm working on a bag that I will probably felt (if I can find a place that has the kind of washer I need). I'm not sure if I'll ever finish that or not. I hope so because I think it'll be a fun little bag but, really, do I need another bag? And then there's the baby washcloth that I started earlier tonight. I wasn't intending to exactly start a project tonight but Brian and I were watching the premier of "Family Guy" and I needed something mindless to do with my hands. So, I was intending on starting the project just to mess around with some things and work some things out in reality (so I could see my vision)...and I decided to just go ahead with the whole project. And then there's my sweater. I'm still working on the back side of it but I think it's going okay....I think.
Perhaps pictures are in order? Meh.....when I have time to take some.
Anyway, I have several hours of sleep I should catch up on at this point. It is, after all, after midnight-thirty. *sigh*

Frustrating times ahead...
So, I'm back in school at UW Madison. This is all fine and well. I'm a full-time student, taking 15 credits (for now - more on that in a mo').......and yet, I have no time to do anything. I'm barely keeping my head above water. I have never had this problem before, even when I was student teaching AND working 30+ hours/week at the same time. What's the problem, you ask? Well......I'm taking two Rehabilitation Psychology & Special Education (RPSE) classes and a Communicative Disorders class (ComDis). Again, these are fine. They're all required for my special education major. I'm taking an Educational Policy (Ed Pol) class. This was kind of for "fun" but it fits well with my major, my work experiences, and potentially my future goals. And then there's my Art class.......that was supposed to be my "fun" class. Granted, it's a studio class and will require projects on a weekly basis and reading and my sketchbook...but, seriously, it's a 100-level class and you want me to mat things? And you expect me to use Illustrator C3 (or, in my case, C4) like I've been using it for years? And you seriously want us to do a project in less than two days, taking in to account that not everyone lives on campus, has access to campus facilities all the time, and actually has a job? I don't think so. I'm thinking that I'm going to drop the class. So what if I'm going to have a huge W on my transcript. I want my sanity back! I spend more time doing work for this class than all my other classes combined!
So, I think, pending hearing back from my advisor (that I've never met), I'm going to be dropping this class. I was so excited about it......and I'm hating it. I don't need it for anything and I don't want to be messing up any of my other classes as a result.
Other than that, I haven't been knitting much......too much homework (see above). I started a sweater whilst camping but I didn't get very far and I haven't really had time to work on it since then. We'll see. I was hoping to finish it before Hallowe'en but I'm not sure that's going to happen. Also, I have at least one baby blanket to make and a shawl...when, oh when am I going to find the time.....

Wedding goodness and new projects
Okay, I think it's safe to post pictures of what the guys got from us for the wedding. I made each and every one of the guys scarves for their present. Now, I should probably mention that I found the pattern on Ravelry or on one of the yarn brand's websites...I don't really remember offhand where I got the pattern. Anyway, I have the pattern somewhere (a hard copy) and I don't need to reproduce it here. I got two skeins of yarn for each scarf, in 8/9 cases I used Lion's Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick.
Anyway, here's a picture :)
This is Matt and Tricia. Matt was the best man in the wedding. He modeled his scarf for us.

Here's another picture :) This is the one I made for Brian's brother, Patrick. His was made out of two skeins of Mountain Colors Hand Painted Yarns in Evergreen. I just hope he likes and uses it.....because that one was expensive.
Anyway, I made the guys scarves. Oh, and the entire wedding party got hand-made ceramic beer mugs with their names on them (as modeled here by Rob and the other Matt).

So, those are some of the wedding photos...perhaps I'll make an actual post with wedding photo pictures, as opposed to a few random ones.
Or not.
Anyway, just before the wedding, when I was madly working to finish all the scarves for the groomsmen, I happened to be at knitting night at my LYS (Woodland Studios) and Cindy Lou had just finished a sweater that, for some reason, I just fell in love with. Well, fast forward two weeks and I've been dreaming about making a sweater...no, seriously, I have literally been having dreams about making a sweater. Anyway, I decided I wanted to make the sweater she had made......so I bought a shitton of yarn (Berroco Peruvia Quick in Gris Marengo....basically, it's a grey color) and the pattern book (which has other sweater patterns and scarf patterns...and I'm liking those, too). I think I'm going to have to do a swatch for this because Cindy Lou is a loose knitter and I suspect that I'm a rather tight knitter. Her and I talked about it a little...she's seen some of the work I've done and she says I should be able to do it without any huge problem and that if I have questions, I can just bring it in and we'll figure it out.
So, I'm embarking on my first sweater. Oh, and I'm still working on my first sock...and I think I managed to drop stitches or something (or maybe I just can't count) so I may just start that over using an actual pattern, as opposed to just starting. We'll see.
Hmmm...what else, what else...
OH! I started school after Brian and I got back from our honeymoon. I think it's going to kick my ass. I'm taking an art class which will be my "fun" class but it's also going to take up a ton of my time because I'm so damn anal. I'm actually taking five classes but four of them are education oriented....I have two Rehabilitation Psychology & Special Education classes (RPSE), a Communicative Disorders class, and an Education Policy class...and then my art class. So, I have a ton of education classes and I felt that I needed something to make my days happier.
And and AND! I got myself a new toy (besides books and art supplies and such)...I got a new MacBook Pro this past Monday :) Yea for me! Brian, being the Mac geek that he is, set it up and did some other things to it...and I'm having fun with it.
Okay, I think that's all I have for right now......perhaps more later this week. I dunno.

Anyway, here's a picture :)
