I'm in a knitting funk. I'm working on the Icarus Shawl and the Andean Treasure Shawl but I am just in a funk. I have a hat pattern worked out on paper but I have yet to make it properly and I'm tired of the damn pattern now so I may never make it. Maybe I should have a test knitter for it instead of me. I'm weird. I started a sock tonight and I made it through three rows and wound up frogging it after the fourth row (I messed up somewhere).
I keep looking at my Itty Bitty books for ideas...but nothing is jumping out at me right now.
Any ideas?

Don't wanna!
I'm having a hard time being in classes today. I had a psychology test earlier and now I have to sit in...well, let's be honest, this class is boring. Very boring. I'm really not looking forward to sitting here until 7pm (it's not even 4:30pm now).
Gah.
But, on the upside, spring break starts tonight for me :)

Snubbed?
How many of you have been snubbed? How do you deal with it?
I (thought I) was on good terms with someone. Granted, I don't know this person well nor have I known them any overly-long period of time (maybe a year and a half). We used to talk and joke and things were fine. And all of a sudden, I'm not good enough for this person (or something?). I have said "hello" to this person to be outright ignored, even when I was standing/sitting right next to them at the time (i.e., there was no way this person could not have heard me), I have tried to talk to this person only to be outright ignored, and when I finally DO catch this person's attention, they are short and act as though they really don't want to talk to me.
I have no idea what I've done to make this person suddenly feel the need to outright snub me.
I'd rather not call them out on it as the only time I see them is at our knitting group (I'd rather leave the drama llamas at home). I'd rather not send them an e-mail because that seems too impersonal and chicken. However, I would like to know what happened to cause this and if/how it can be fixed. I think this person is wonderful and we could be good friends but I have no idea how to handle this situation.
Or maybe I'm dreaming it and there really isn't anything wrong.
No idea.

Done.
I left LSG (Ravelry group, if you're clueless).
The last few times I've posted anything, I have basically been told that I'm stupid, that my husband's stupid, and that I have no right to say anything because I'm so stupid.
I'm not stupid and I'm really tired of people telling me I am.
So, I left. Oh well.

Frustration!
So, I've been working on a hat of my own design (that will eventually get posted or something somewhere once I actually finish it). I was probably 35 rows in and I decided to try to find out where, exactly, I had managed to drop a stitch. I knew I had dropped one somewhere but I hadn't been able to find it and I didn't notice until 6 rows later, at least. So, I kept going, thinking I messed up my own pattern.
Nope.
After 30+ rows, I stopped to actually look and see if/where I had dropped a stitch. And there it was. Fifteen rows back and unhooking itself as I went along. I didn't have enough give to be able to pick it up...so, I frogged it.
And now I have to start over and I'm FRUSTRATED! I had to share.
Oh, and I played knitting model today.

MKG Knit In :)
Yesterday was the Madison Knitter's Guild Knit In at the Bishop O'Connor Center on Madison's west side. Of course, I went and spent all my money (and then some). They offered classes and had speakers but I didn't participate in either one. Aside from spending most of my day knitting, I also went shopping. I have a new bag full of yarn. I haven't photographed/cataloged any of it, yet, so I don't have anything to show you. I will, though. I promise. Probably this week sometime, too :)
Other than that, there isn't much else going on. It's almost spring break in my world so I'm looking forward to that. Woo.
I'll update with pictures from the Knit In later this week :)

Lost...
I'm lost on ideas. I've finished my sweater and I still have some projects on needles. However, I'm at a loss for what to work on. I'm not really "into" some of my projects and have no desire to finish them, though I probably should for posterity or something.
I don't want to finish my sock. First of all, I didn't follow any sort of pattern (except to do the heel and gusset and such) so I'm not entirely sure it'll fit. I'm thinking of frogging it and using it to knit socks using a real pattern. Or fingerless mitts. I haven't decided which, yet.
I'm debating about frogging my felted bag. I really like the idea of felting something and I love the colors I picked for the bag (and the yarn). I may just finish it and suck it up. I'm not following a pattern, I'm just winging it again. I do that a lot.
I still have Sherri's shawl on the needles but I haven't touched it in over a month. I should work on that, finish it, and love it. And then give it to her.
I also have a scarf that I've been working on for damn near a year now. It's over half-way done and it's not something I can work on at knitting group...well, maybe I can NOW because I'm a better knitter. I love the pattern (it's something I found in a book) and the yarn is grand. I know I'll finish it...but I don't think it's something I'll wear. *sigh*
And...the hat. Another London Beanie (it's on Ravelry). I'm not sure it's going to fit my fat head either. I'll just give it to Cameron (Sherri's son).
But, what should I work on? I don't necessarily want something "big" but I need something new to work on.
Anyone? Ideas?
Bueller?
