It's WIP Wedne....wait, it's not Wednesday.

So, I missed "WIP Wednesday" because life got in the way, as it usually does. That means that today is "Things I Do Thursday," which is really just "WIP Wednesday" except that it's on a Thursday.

Anyway, I've been working on things (and one of them is already finished but I'll show you the WIP, just for shits and grins).

See? Can you guess what it is? It was done on #3 DPNs and #6 DPNs (mostly on #6)...and it's already done. I bet you can guess what it is. Oh, and it's out of BabyBoo.

I also have these. They're Simple Skyp Socks...

The top photo is not long after I started working on the decreases. The bottom photo is of my amazing ability to pick up stitches from the gusset...yes, I'm tooting my own damn horn! I rock at picking up gusset stitches. The only thing is that I usually wind up picking up more than the pattern says I should. So, for a 32 row heel flap, I wind up picking up 18 stitches on each side (sometimes 19 or 20). I don't like holes in my socks. Sue me.

These are made out of Blue Moon Fiber Arts: Socks That Rock (medium weight) in the Chickabiddy colorway. I think I'm using #1 DPNs (my Blackthorn DPNs that I got at Sheep & Wool last year).

I usually do socks on #2s but these are done on #1s...and I think they're going to fit better. I think it's going to be common for my socks from now on...but it means I'm going to have to buy more DPNs because I can't have just one project going at a time...

Also, I seemed to have missed my second blogversary. It was yesterday. But, again, life got in the way.
