And so it begins.....

Husband got his "orders" from Symantec, so to speak. They want him to start on May 29th. Um......today is May 17th (Happy Syttende Mai, by the way) which makes May 29th only twelve days away. Take into account that it's a thirty-threeish hour drive from southern Wisconsin to San Francisco and it's going to translate that he needs to leave probably on May 26th......which is nine days away. Nine. Yes, NINE.

No, we don't need to have the entire house packed and ready to move in nine days. But, we do need to take care of some things before he leaves that (1) I cannot do on my own, (2) require his input, or (3) requires him in some other way (be it signature or physical presence).

Last night, we took down the saltwater fish tank (55 gallon). He took the fish to the store from which we purchased them, then we took out as much of the water as we could, dumped the rocks in the front yard (which need to be taken care of yet), and took the tank to the curb. We were going to try to sell it but we haven't had much luck with trying to sell the fish tanks so we figured this would work out okay. Husband also took out one of the smaller fish tanks we also had (30 gallon that was in the garage).

As of this writing, both tanks, both stands, and the box(es) of associated "fish" stuff are gone. Less than twelve hours.

I think that might be a new record.

I spent some time yesterday in our closet (my half of the closet). So far, I have six garbage bags full of clothing to take to St. Vinny's (we need the tax deduction, trust me) in addition to the two boxes that were ready last week. I still haven't finished but the majority of the closet has been taken care of. I have to go through my shoes, my jammies, and some other assorted items. That shouldn't take more than an hour and I expect that I'll have some things to go, too.

Today, I need to get the paperwork finished for Little Man to go to daycare starting Monday morning. I also need to get his laundry put away, mine started, and perhaps some cleaning out of things in the closet in the guest bathroom. We'll have to see how the day plays out.

I hope things are well with all of you :)

Mama! I'm nakie in here!
