Self-Imposed Year of Projects: Update #34

Happy Sunday! It's been a whirlwind week here in the Bay Area.

We started the week with doctor appointments at UCSF Hospital (and the epic hill) and by the time Wednesday rolled around, I was clueless as to how it suddenly became Wednesday. And now it's Sunday :)

I cannot show you my latest FO, however...it's for a Christmas present and the person it's going to may or may not read this blog. I honestly don't know and I'd rather not tempt fate. So, no showing until after Christmas. I anticipate that this may happen more than once during the course of the next few months. Or maybe not. I don't know.

Anyway, next week's Self-Imposed Year of Project will probably be a day or two late unless I write it early and schedule it to post on Sunday. We're heading out of here for a few days and going on a short cruise out of Long Beach (Los Angeles) during the holiday weekend (for my non-American readers, it's Labor Day weekend next weekend). Hopefully we'll be back with some good photos and a much more relaxed demeanor. Or not. We'll see.

I hope you've all had a lovely week :)

    1. It's only a 3-day cruise...but I am so bringing my knitting :) We're doing the "big" one in December over both Christmas and New Years.

  2. Good for you on taking a nice cruise! Are you going to the little island off the coast?

    1. Nope, this one doesn't stop at Catalina. Our honeymoon cruise that we took 3 years ago did. This one goes to Ensenada, Mexico...and we've been there, too. It'll just be some time away from here.

    1. I just wish my kid would sleep peacefully through the night. Poor kid.

But, I think a weekend away will help :)

    1. I think I'll probably wind up not showing them until after Christmas. I have a feeling that I'll have a big post scheduled after Christmas (and it'll have to be scheduled since we'll be on another cruise then, too).

  7. Everyone needs to relax--enjoy your cruise, you lucky woman you!

  8. Have a great holiday! And I know what you mean, sometimes weeks just run away from you. And one of the perks of having family who are not in the least bit interested in knitting is that I can post all Christmas presents, since none of them read my blog.
