I'll be honest...I feel like I haven't done much knitting this week. I know I have but it just seems like I'm not knitting enough. I've spent most of my knitting time finishing up the Nolan Hat, though I've also spent some time with the new dishcloth and my Icarus Shawl.

Speaking of my Icarus Shawl, I have less than 50 rows left before I'm done :) We'll see how that goes. At this point, I'm either slowly decreasing or keeping the same number of stitches. I haven't bothered to actually check. As long as everything turns out right by the midpoint and at the end of the rows, I haven't worried about it.

I worked a couple rows on the Vanilla Socks (and increased from 64 sts to 72 sts) but nothing really noteworthy is going on there. I'm just busy working until I get to the heel :) I also knocked out a scarf on Friday during Little Man's nap. It's nothing special. Just a plain, garter stitch scarf done on US #15 needles with bulky yarn. Oh, and I only had 57 yds. to work with so it wouldn't have been that long anyway. It should be perfect for a 5 year old.

I think I need to pick out a new hat to work on :)

PLANNED HATS (at least three more - 12 total)
1. Hermione Hearts Ron
2. Ogre Babies!
3. NIN Hat
4. Godric's Hollow Hat
5. Bergen Street Tuque
6. Candy Cane

So, that brings my totals to this:

Finished: 22 projects
Works-in-progress: 6 projects
Planned: 3-6 projects
Totals: 31-34 projects.......

Anyway, that's all I really have for this week :) I hope you're having a lovely weekend and that the next week brings you fun and entertaining things!

  1. Ooh garter st in bulky yarn? Bulky really rocks and just has this look and style that no other yarn can match.

    2. I love bulky yarn because it goes quickly :) And it's perfect for a 5 year old, especially if it's acrylic or superwash :)

  2. How is working with US#15s? They always look so giant in the store!

I think your accomplishments for the year are quite inspiring :)

    1. When you go from US #1s to 15s, it's a bit much. They are huge, I won't lie...but they make things go so much faster :)
