Y2: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - Update #49

Is it really Sunday again? As of this writing, I feel like Sunday came way too fast...but I also feel like this past week has just dragged and dragged. Mostly likely this is because Little Man and I have been sick. He was exposed to Hand, Foot, & Mouth at Thanksgiving and he wound up getting it. And then, last weekend, he was further exposed to a little cold that his cousin had. I got it first and then he got it. ::sigh::

So, don't expect a lot to be happening around here...because not a lot has been happening.

I've not finished anything new and I'm not a bit sorry about it :)

Works-in-Progress (WIPs)
1. Baby Surprise Jacket: started May 27, 2013
2. Traveling Vines Socks (Adult): started May 31, 2013
3. Dragon's Egg Socks: started September 2, 2013

4. Zombie ViXen Fingerless Mitts: started November 23, 2013

I've also not started anything new. I honestly didn't knit much this past week due to the plague going through our house but when I did knit, I worked on my Traveling Vines Socks (in the middle of the fourth and last repeat for the leg) and my Zombie ViXen Fingerless Mitts (working through the thumb gusset increases). Nothing exciting going on there.

It also occurred to me that all of my projects are done on rather small needles. I've been thinking of starting something on larger needles so I can give my hands a break from the small needles...but I really don't want to start anything new. Perhaps a dishcloth is in order...or perhaps I should take up hooking?

I don't know.

My remaining lists (hahahahahahahaha!) look like this:

Children's Items
1. "Little 16" Newborn Socks
2. Alvin Sweater
3. Milo

 Household Items
1. Halloween Creepy Cloths (2)
2. Assorted Harry Potter Cloths
3. Assorted Doctor Who Cloths

Designs (which may or may not be soooper seeekrit)
1. Little Man's Baby Blanket
2. Susan's Hat (4 versions) (yes, I've mostly sussed out one version but it's still on this list)
3. Assorted dishcloths (set of 12?)
4. Traveling Vines Scarf
5. Traveling Vines Socks (baby and adult-sized as well) - yes, this is a WIP...still working on it...
6. Pinwheel Market Bag
7. Anything else that comes along (I have a notebook or two or seventeen somewhere with potential designs and random ideas)

That's really all I have for this week. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend :)

  4. Take it easy and feel better. I've been tempted to start a crochet ripple blanket, but maybe I'm suffering from the same thing as you? ... small needle apathy :(

  8. I'm dreading looking at my list of resolutions from last year. I've been severely derailed most of this year. Fortunately, we're close to the beginning of 2014, so I can try again. I hope you all feel better soon!
