Y3: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - Update #13

Happy 13th update and Sunday and weekend and so on and so forth :)

I'm going to be perfectly honest, nothing has really changed since last week other than I'm working on the heel flap of my first Oreo Sock and I worked a couple rows on my Dragon's Egg Socks. Also, baby is still in there and has little parties at the most inopportune times (like 5:45am, just after I've gotten up to pee or while I'm driving).

Nothing exciting there.

Little Man has spent a good portion of the last week running around naked. We're still working on the potty training. He also developed a rash on the back of his neck. The pediatrician said it looks like Fifth Disease (also known as slap-cheek syndrome) but, honestly, I've looked at probably six dozen (or more) photos of the rashes associated with it...and his rash doesn't look anything like any of the photographs. Sooooo, I'm not sure he actually has it. But, I'm not a doctor. Honestly, I don't think the pediatrician knew what it was, either. Unfortunately, if it is Fifth Disease, it can cause some pretty big problems for pregnant women and their unborn babies (if they don't have the antibodies). ::sigh:: So, tomorrow I get to call the OB and probably have a blood test done to check for the antibodies. Honestly, having worked in daycare and schools, I probably have the antibodies and don't have anything to worry about. I'm still not thrilled about it, though.

Anyway, that's honestly about all that's been going on around here.

Sorry, the suburban life gets mundane sometimes....

Perhaps photos will show up next week. We'll see!

  3. That's weird for slap cheek to be in thenneck and not his face. I hope everything tests out well. That happened to my cousin long ago. Those childhood diseases suck. You never know who the hell passed it to your kid.
