Y3: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - Update #36

Happy Sunday :)

After last week's shenanigans, we are all home and attempting to get settled in and used to the "new normal." We actually didn't even get discharged from the hospital until last night so, obviously, I didn't get my post written and this and that so I'm posting while Stormageddon's napping. He'll be awake soon, though.

  Works-In-Progress (WIPs)
1. Dragon's Egg Socks: started September 2, 2013
2. Pacific Shawl: started June 8, 2014
3. Swatch for The Dude: started July 16, 2014
4. Snape's Stockings: started August 20, 2014

Because I was in the hospital most of this past week, the only project that made it to said hospital were Snape's Stockings.....not that I had a lot of knitting time anyway! I'm almost done with the leg on the first sock. The nurses were all impressed by the knitting...they also all loved the Swirl Hat I brought with me. I may make a few more for the NICU, where Stormageddon spent some time the past few days.

Yes, baby spent some time in the NICU. He had slight jaundice and needed to be under the Bili Lights and those are located in the NICU. So, I would visit him for nursing/feeding and cuddle a little, come back to the room and knit or sleep or eat, wash, rinse, repeat. We were finally discharged last night after some blood test results (regarding the jaundice).

I love your idea of secret sock bags and now that I'm pretty sure I'll be a life long sock knitter, I want to do that too.
