I've not finished anything new, which isn't unexpected. I do owe you all a FO Friday. I had planned to do it this past Friday but the week got away from me and then you throw the Thanksgiving holiday in there....yeah, it just didn't happen. So.......it's going to happen this Friday, instead :)

Any knitting I've done this week has been on the mittens. I've finished the first and started the second. If I can find the time to knit, I should have the second one done fairly quickly. But, you know, the path to Hell is paved with good intentions...so, let's not all hold our breath :)

In my edition of "The Real World: California," things have been rather nuts around here. I feel like I'm running to keep up and I'm not quite catching up.....ever. We finally went and picked up Stormageddon's birth certificate this past week. I've only had the paperwork filled out for the last six weeks...I just needed to drive to the south side of town and pick it up. Also, mountains of laundry...I have so much laundry to do but I'm still catching up on the laundry I just did. I hate the laundry cycle, actually. And then, I'm trying to get caught up on all the dishes from Thanksgiving...but we're also piling on the regular dishes...and it's a cycle. I'm almost caught up with that, however. Just in time for it all to come tumbling over again. ::sigh:: Story of my life.

Aside from trying to play catch-up, Little Man got sick Friday night. He had been saying all day that he was cold and had an occasional non-productive cough but was otherwise acting normal. Friday night....he was laying in our bed with the iPad, not even watching anything, hot all over but huddled up in a blanket telling me he was cold. I couldn't get an accurate temperature on him but I know it was over 100°F. He was so hot even his bare feet were burning up. I gave him Tylenol and his "Bee Stuff" (Zarbee's Natural Children's Nighttime Cough Syrup) and then ran to CVS to pick up some more medication, a new thermometer (which I didn't do - $55 for a non-contact was too much to stomach when we got it on Amazon for $16), and Gatorade. While I was gone, he puked :( He then fell asleep in our bed and rather than move him, I slept in the back room with Puppy and Stormageddon, and Husband slept by him. He didn't puke again and was feeling much better by yesterday morning. He was still running a fever but he ate some toast and had some Gatorade.

Anyway, my laptop keeps closing my browser window as I'm writing this so I suppose it's time to end.......

  1. Hope that's all the sick bug will be for Little Man it's no fun for them or Mom and Dad and oh isn't it fun to dream of new lists, I've been dreaming of new lists but only because I happen to be about to change my list half way through the year. Don't remind me of the vicious circle that is laundry and wash up - grrrr

  3. Yes, thinking of my list too....and poor Little Man......I hope he feels better soon...no fun being sick at the holidays....I am finally getting over my latest bout.....today I did some more reorganizing of the stash...all the yarn that is actually wound for projects is together, so that might drive my list for next year....

  5. Oh boy, the joys of motherhood and juggling two. Sorry the Little Man was so sock. Poor baby. They're defenseless against body bugs. You seem to be hanging in well. You're a strong mama.

  8. Poor little man! Hopefully it doesn't spread through the family! I've been eager to cast on new things, but as I signed up for a Sock Knitting race and Cookie A's sock club for 2015, I'd better not get too far ahead of myself!

Paper plates! That's what we do for Thanksgiving!
