Y3: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - Update #50

Hello and happy Sunday :)

First and foremost, we survived the nasty rainstorm that came barreling through the area from Wednesday night-Friday morning. Our backyard turned into a very shallow lake for a few hours but the water has mostly drained off....but the yard is an absolute mess! Oh, and the roof leak we had fixed on Monday-Tuesday? Yeah, that didn't take care of the problem. Luckily, our leak is quite small but it's still a leak and it needs to be addressed.

Other places were not so lucky. There were underpasses that were flooded out, parts of several of the main highways were flooded.....it was just a nasty mess around here.

But, it's over and done and we're fine :)

Now, onward to the updatery type stuff.....

1. Dragon's Egg Socks: started September 2, 2013

Sorin for Sherri: started December 3, 2014

That means there's one less WIP and I've not started anything new. Aside from finishing up the goat, I spent some time with the Sorin hat. I'm not that far along but it's coming. I'm positive that it won't be in Wisconsin for Christmas but that's okay; I hear Sherri and the kids are going to Florida (the kids don't know yet)...she won't need her hat down there. It'll be waiting for her when she gets back to Wisconsin, I hope.

And let's all laugh at my silliness....

  4. Wild weather for you too huh? Our temps are all over the place. Last night I stood on the front porch in shirt sleeves ... MID DECEMBER without a COAT! That's CRAZY!

Stormageddon has a very similar impish smile to Little Man. Bet you've got your hands full there, with the two of them!

  6. Oh, gosh. When it rains, it pours. It really horrible that you folks out West can't have some moisture in moderation! The boys look adorable. I love seeing updates on them. :-D

  8. The stupid idiots who drive too fast and cause accidents have jacked up traffic today. My husband is coming late because of that. He said it's estimated it'll take him 3 hours to drive those 50 mi.
