Year SEVEN: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - Update #4

Happy Sunday :)

I'm a little behind today for reasons. Mostly just being tired and fighting off the sickness. But, let's get going :)

I did very little knitting this week, admittedly. What knitting I did work on: Paradiddle Prototype socks and the Rasta Scarf.

This is just before the halfway point on the Rasta Scarf. I took this at swimming lessons on Thursday. But there honestly has not been a lot of knitting. I'm kind of lame this week.

This week has been a bit of......insanity? That's probably not the right word. While the kids have been in their normal routines, I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with my head chopped off, which is probably true to an extent.

We are starting to get into crunch time with the auction. Donations are coming in, but at the same time, we're missing so many things. I've spent a crazy amount of time working on donation procurement and it's extremely draining and soul-sucking. I've not wanted to do much else.

Honestly, though, part of that may be due to the oncoming storm: I feel the sickness coming. I've had the scratchy throat, some congestion, some coughing, and I've been tired. Soooooo, I'm fighting it. I'm quite possibly losing but I'm still trying to fight.

And because of all that, I've taken very few photos this week (and none of Little Man):

I have a child who likes selfies, probably because he can see himself. If we try to get him to take a photo, he's uncooperative...tell him it's a selfie, he's fine. ::sigh::

In addition to all that, we made brisket this weekend.

It's been a good day, Tater.

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend :)

  1. I love your posts so much I have started my own list. It is just projects with a start and end date, nothing aspirational. But, still a start! And a great way to actually know how much gets accomplished when you feel like you haven't done anything. Keep posting!

  4. I like how the black yarn sets off the colored stripes. Pls take care of yourself. A mama needs to be well. Always great to see the little men. The brisket looks really good.
