I started an actual dishcloth this week. I was looking for something to take to the park and I came across a project bag with a bunch of cotton partials and needles...so, I started a dishcloth. Nothing fancy. I also worked a little bit on the Ewetopia Stripey Socks this week. I'm almost to the toe on the first sock. Exciting times. But that was it, I swear!

With Tour de Fleece happening, you'd think I'd be spinning....but no. I haven't spun except for a little bit on the first day. Oops. I should maybe look into that.....

It's mid-July. We're about halfway through to the beginning of the next school year. That means that there are playdates happening at the park and the boys are full of energy and that means you get to go to the park and you get to go to the park and you get to go to the park! So many days at the park this week, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. If anything, it gives me time to turn on my Harry Potter game (Harry Potter Wizards Unite) and play around with it a bit. And the boys expel some energy.

With all that said, I haven't taken any photos this week, save for this one:

Husband and I made Texas Torpedoes this week. It's nothing fancy other than we smoke the bacon ourselves. They're rather delicious. We may have to make them again. It's not like they're difficult to make.

Outside of that, it was our usual week. We had swimming lessons, Husband worked from home a few days, we went to the park, and that was about it. I say "about" because on Friday a few of the moms I know and I went out to dinner and then out for drinks. It was a delightful time and I feel like we need to do it again sometime soon. We may have also found our new favorite watering hole. And Mexican restaurant.

But seriously, no photos. It's been one of those weeks......I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend!

  2. I’ve been thinking what to take on the plane to my sisters later this month, perhaps dishcloths will be ideal as not too bulky as you say. If your spinning stuff is all set up then you could just do 5 mins a day, it may help bring back your spinning mojo. Have you had a go at teaching the boys any of your crafts?

  3. Thanks for the reminder regarding the dishcloth--I built those into my new list this year and better get one cast on for July!

Enjoy your days of boys and parks--the years will fly!

  4. Yay for park time! My girls have outgrown the park so it's usually getting boba or maybe some shopping.
