This week, we are back on schedule (except maybe posting on time). School started on Tuesday and while we are still getting used to the schedule, we are on one! I was also supposed to start work this week but here we are......haven't started yet. ::sigh:: It's fine though. It gave us a chance to get back on the schedule without other commitments.

Last Sunday, there was an "all school" playdate at one of the parks for Stormageddon's school so I took the boys over there for a bit.

I'm not going to lie: I kind of felt out of place, like the weird kid (again). I had the same issue when Little Man started school but I've definitely found my niche there...but not so much with this one. We'll see how things go.

In addition to that, Husband was supposed to be home on Sunday night.....his bags arrived but he did not. I suppose that's part of the whole flying on standby thing. A friend and I went up to the airport to get his bags (since I'm not allowed to lift them yet). I picked him up on Monday morning.

On Monday, we had Stormageddon's orientation at his school and then Little Man's school had their ice cream social. In both cases, we found out which classroom they were in. Not a terrible way to spend Monday. But it was hooooooooooooot!

Tuesday was the first day of school.

Little Man was fine, of course. Stormageddon was mostly okay...until it came time to actually go to his classroom. He was a little weary about going in but he was fine. But that was Tuesday.....

I spent every day this week having to peel Stormageddon off me to hand him off to one of the teacher aides or his teacher. He was crying, screaming, trying to have a tantrum.....it was awful. We will see how tomorrow goes.

Tuesday, after school, we had wine....because of course we did. We went to Little Man's friend's house (the one that I drop him off with in the mornings because I cannot do both drop offs without going early for Little Man - so far, it's been fine)....and his friend's mom and I had wine.

Swimming lessons also happened this week. Twice. They had their usual lessons on Thursday (see below) and then they had makeup lessons on Saturday.

I was so ready for the weekend. Puppy was being our good protector on Friday night. He knew there was a squirrel up in our orange tree. He waited patiently for quite awhile and then it decided to come out and he barked his fool head off. Silly puppy.

Yesterday, we had a busy day. Little Man had a birthday party, then the swimming lessons, then dinner, and then I went out for Mom's Martini Night, which is a yearly event where the moms get together at a house and drink, eat food, and socialize. All the money goes to the school and it's a lot of fun. But it was a busy day.

It's probably why I didn't get this post finished in time....oops. At least I realized it was Sunday.

Also, yesterday was my blogiversary. So, that's cool.

Anyway, I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend :)

  3. What kind of work will you be doing? Is it something you've done before? We start school on Wednesday. I'm done with my kids being at home. It's never fun when your child is not happy going to school but I'm sure he'll acclimate soon.
