All knitting this week has been focused on the goat, as I need it finished by Tuesday, which shouldn't be an issue. I have two legs left to make and then I put it all together. Should be easy to finish by Tuesday.

I thought about a few other projects but since the goat is on a time constraint.....yeah. I mean, the Lederhosen Socken are also on a time constraint but I don't think that's going to happen no matter what I do. ::sigh::

This week has been.....not busy, exactly, but we've had plenty of stuff to do. With guests coming this week, we've needed to clean the house. In addition to that, there was the usual thing for me, which was work. We've also had a couple school events. Little Man went on a field trip this week to Filoli Gardens. I was unable to go because I had to be back to pick up Stormageddon from school. He also had a field trip this week to one of the local library branches. I was able to go on that field trip. It's just a few blocks from his school and was, of course, during his school hours.

In addition to that, there was a fundraising event at Stormageddon's school called Walk-A-Jog. They do some laps around the track and there are food trucks and little games and other events. We could only stay for part of it because of an event happening at Little Man's school the same night, International Potluck.

The boys had fun at both events, which was helpful. It was also helpful that the book fair started on Friday as well. The boys love the book fair.

Yesterday, we did some major house cleaning. I cleaned the stove and most of the kitchen, we swept under furniture. dusted, did laundry, I cleaned one of the bathrooms, and it goes on and on.

My stove was so nice and clean! It still is for a hot minute...I need to keep it clean. That's the hard part: keeping the stove clean. ::sigh::

I also had to run some errands for items we didn't have at home. I took Little Man with me. He was grumpy because no one was around to ride bikes with during the day.

One of our stops was at Target. I was looking for picture wire and they had some but not enough and it came in a kit that I didn't need. So we wound up going to Home Depot instead.

We needed the picture wire to hang those. We need to readjust them because of the heat vents but that's a project for another day. For now, they're hung....and I was the one up on the ladder so my legs are sore. It's from the balancing more than being scared of heights, though being scared of heights didn't help. It was fine, though. I'm just sore today.

Speaking of today....we still have work to do. Husband is out mowing the yard. I need to do some raking under bushes and along the back fence, we have some other errands to run, and then I think I'll work on my goat and try to get caught up on work. That sounds right.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend :)

  2. Lovely to see your boys looking so happy and to hear of your comings and goings. Yes I love it when the stove gets clean (and the bathroom, and under the bed, etc. etc) but it never seems to last long enough for me.
