Over the last six Fridays, including today, I've had FIVE FO Friday posts. So, like the title says, Five Out of Six Ain't Bad......
| Milo for Little Man (link to Project Page) |
Pattern: Milo by Georgie Hallam
Time Frame: started December 25, 2013; finished February 9, 2014
Yarn: Tasmania from Artfibers in #11; unsure of actual amount
Needles: US #6 (4 mm)
Size: 24" (5T)
Modifications: None; I used the Horseshoe Cable found on p. 11 of the pattern
Thoughts: As far as the pattern itself, it's easy to read, and it's not a complicated pattern. The end result is adorable. Unfortunately, the problems I did have were more due to my model (Little Man) being bigger than average...so although I made the 5T size, it fits my 3 year old. Would I make this again? Yeah, but I'd be sure to measure the child first...or just make sure to make a larger size for someone to grow into. Also, I need to make sure that the bottom hem is longer. This one has a tendency to flip up on occasion. I would have made it longer but I ran out of yarn...
Case, in point. It fits Little Man now. Oh well, at least it's not too small so he can't wear it.
Anyway, that's all I have for you today. I'll link up with Tami as soon as I can :)
He looks so pleased with himself in it! How sweet! Nice little vest.
ReplyDeleteThat's why I love baby things, it will fit at some point! Cute vest, cute guy.
