This was a very trying week. Little Man was wound tighter than a corkscrew because his birthday was on Friday and his birthday party was on Saturday. In addition to that, one of my best friends from college also arrived on Friday. As a result of the insanity of our house, Stormageddon was also quite a handful this past week. He was naughty for both his speech teacher and his swimming teacher, as well as me.

Thankfully, hopefully, that seems to have subsided now that Little Man has calmed down. We shall see.

The week started out pretty benign. I took Stormageddon to the park earlier this week.

That night was election night.............so we were with friends.

On Wednesday afternoon, I had to take the boys and get Stormageddon registered for Transitional Kindergarten for next year. It was awful. There was a wait (I had maybe 6 people ahead of me)...took over an hour. My phone wasn't working so no YouTube or anything, and I wasn't expecting the wait so the boys didn't have anything to do.

It was kind of a nightmare.

I think the person working the registration process took pity on me because she got some paper and pens for the boys to draw/color....which lasted about ten minutes, which was still ten minutes of peace.

Little Man and I found this strange bird on Thursday as we were walking to swimming lessons. We're not sure what kind it is but it had green legs/feet.

On Friday, Little Man had his birthday event at school. I brought in his picture board, everyone in his class, including his teacher, me, and Stormageddon, said nice things about him, and Stormageddon found both a baby binky (in my car) and a snail (not in my car). And yet, no photos of the birthday boy on his birthday. I kind of fail at that. Boo on me.

Saturday was the party. There were at least 20 kids in my house, plus parents....it was a long day of cleaning and the party and the insanity of cleaning up that followed.

I was so glad to see this morning....except the house is still crazy because we're out of space in the garbage/recycling bins. ::sigh:: It never ends.

But, it's Sunday. Tomorrow we have no plans, school is on half-days until after Thanksgiving......and then I'm heading back to Wisconsin for an emergency trip (flying standby so fingers crossed that it actually happens)......we'll see how it all goes.

I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend!
