I've been shopping on eBay again......
Yarn: Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply
Weight/Yds: Sock/Fingering, approx. 400 yds.
Colorway: Tulipa
I think this is my last eBay purchase for awhile. I imagine it'll grow up to be socks but I may use it for something else. We'll see what happens when we get there.
I also received something of a surprise in the mail....I got a package from Erin Lane Bags, for which I am doing a club. All that was in the package was a partial skein of yarn, which, it turns out, is the same colorway as the first shipment. Apparently, our first club yarn was only about 300 yds and the pattern that came with the package was for a 400 yd shawl.......so, they've made it right and we all got extra yarny goodness. I'm not going to post a photo of that, though, because it looks the same as the one I posted about here, just a little smaller.
Anyway, I hope you're having a lovely day :) I may have to slow down on the yarn acquisition.....three in a month?! What am I doing?! I already have SABLE.....
Ooh, I love that color! I haven't bought yarn off eBay yet, but I've gotten a ton from Instagram and Ravelry destashes. I don't think I'm quite at SABLE yet-what if you suddenly get super knitting powers and you can knit super fast?? You'll be glad of your super stash then :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad for my super stash now :) It means that when I want to make something, I usually don't need to go yarn shopping outside of my closet (which is hoarding enough yarn to be a small shop).
DeleteI haven't tried her fingering line, just the worsted/DK Yowza Skein which I like. This is a pretty burgundy.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I have several skeins from her.......and I've not used any of them yet. ::sigh::
Deleteooh, that Miss Babs colourway is stunning! You've been making out like a bandit on Ebay, very impressive.
ReplyDeleteeBay can hold some pretty good deals. Of course, there's a lot of crap to sift thorough, as well.
DeleteThat is very pretty! And its nice when they make things right. I've met the owner of Erin.lane...I have a couple of her bags...she was next to us one year at Stitches East.....and bawawawa...I laugh in the face of your three skeins in a month! But I am slowing down...the CT Sheep and Wool is in April, so will slow down until then...
ReplyDeleteI've met Lindsey several times...Stitches West the last couple years, Stitches Midwest a couple times (which was really funny one year after we had moved to California and she had seen me at both West and Midwest and got really confused)....and, of course, I've ordered from her online :)
