I'm all about posting this week.....again. I've already posted about frogging my Freeport Vest and today, this post and my April Monthly Goals post are going up, I have a post scheduled for tomorrow to coincide with the release of the Knotions Spring 2016 patterns, and Sunday is my Self-Imposed Year of Projects update.
I'm quite the busy little bee or something.
Anyway, it's Friday and I said there was a possibility that I'd have an FO Friday this week and, lo, I have one.
|Pacific Waves (link to Project Page)|
Pattern: Pacific Waves, unpublished by me (because it's not ready yet)
Time Frame: started March 9, 2016; finished March 25, 2016
Yarn: Cascade 220 Heathers in #9345 Purple (maybe a half-skein...but I think it was less; I've not actually figured it out yet)
Needles: US #5 (3.75 mm) and US #8 (5 mm) 16" circulars and US #8 (5 mm) DPNs
Modification(s): None; it's my pattern.
Thoughts: There are a few things I want to change when I make this again. The sizing is perfect and as it's ribbing, it's stretchy. This hat actually fits onto my head, though it's not long enough. It also fits Little Man pretty well, though he could probably use another inch on it, as well. But, there are some things I plan to change when I make it again (because why waste yarn with swatching when I can just go full-scale and have a little hat for one of the boys?). In other words, it serves it's purpose as a hat but I'm not 100% satisfied with the design. So, I redrew the chart to better fit what I think I'm going for, I have another partial ball of worsted, and I'm going to make it again. Maybe I'll make a bigger one for Little Man.
Here are a few more photos. Don't mind the wee nekkid baby. He kept taking his shirt off and I was tired of fighting him to keep it on.
I hope you're having a lovely Friday! I'll be back tomorrow and on Sunday :)
