Admittedly, there has been little knitting. I know I knit a few more rows on the Star Stitch Shawl, which would be noteworthy if it weren't less than 60 sts at this point. But I'm pretty sure it has less than 60 sts so it's not really all that noteworthy. It's still progress, though. I still need to check to see if the error for row 5 is the same for this repeat or not....I'm sure it will be but I haven't done that row yet. So at this point, wait and see.

I did email Frabjous Fibers about whether there was an error in the pattern that they knew of. From what they could tell, there was not; they also told me the pattern had been tech edited and knit so.....I'm going to see what happens. I may "restart" it to see if I made a mistake or if there really is a mistake in the pattern. I just need to sit down with it and see what shakes out.

Unfortunately, that was all the knitting I did this past week. I hope to do some more this week but we'll have to see how the week shakes out.

Stormageddon and Husband got haircuts on Thursday evening. That means that they stood outside while I cut their hair with the clippers (mostly) and scissors. Little Man, of course, would not let me near him, which is fine. He'll have to come around eventually. He will need a trim, at minimum.

Stormageddon let me go back to tiny hair for the summer, mostly because it gets hot and he doesn't like the heat either. So we cut it short and will let it grow over summer.

I also saw one of the cranes the other morning. Just one, though. I keep hoping that there will be two of them and then babies but not yet.

I'm pretty sure this was the same morning I found Stormageddon asleep on the couch in the living room. And I don't care what you say: that does not look like a comfortable sleeping position.

And now a 🐝 update (because I haven't done one for awhile). I went outside this afternoon to check on my bees. I haven't checked on them for a few weeks, which is generally too long to not check but I knew they were making fantastic progress the last time I checked. So, I brought out the honey boxes, just in case.

Y'all. They are ready for their honey boxes. They have been extremely busy. I pulled off the tops of the hives and they have spread out. I added the honey boxes today. And they were relatively docile today; no swarming at me when I did things to their houses. They were a little mad when I put one of the toppers down too hard but they got over it.

Also, lest you think otherwise - the bee costume is not sexy. At all. Not even a little. And even though it's white, it gets hot in there.

The helmet and gloves came from our local Bee Supply but the jumpsuit came from Amazon. It's a bit too long but for the size I need, it only comes in that one length. And then I pull my socks up over to keep bees from winding up in my knickers. That would not be a good time.

So, that's where things are sitting around here right now. Little Man has a birthday party this evening. Yesterday was the Horribly Hilly Hundreds. Basically a bunch of bicyclists coming through the area. It was irritating in that water bottles wind up everywhere and people don't know how to ride on a public road....like they seem to behave as though the roads were closed and the roads do not get closed down for this event. Going to Costco yesterday was not a fun time.

I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend!
