This is the unblocked version of a baby hat pattern that I test knit for Mindy (ravelry link). The pattern is called "Chosen" and is intended for babies. I used Paton's Pure Organic Cotton and #7 DPNs. The yarn wasn't horrible to use...it knits up very well, actually. I wasn't a huge fan of doing this on DPNs, however...I think when I do this again, I'm going to use Magic Loop or a 12" circular (and finish with DPNs).
This is the Christmas present I made for my boss. I have deemed this hat "Susan's Hat (v1)." It can be found on my projects page on Ravelry. This is a pattern that I'm going to write up properly and have someone test knit. This photograph was taken while the hat was still wet...so it's a little wonky. It was made out of some unknown bulky yarn I found in my stash...I know it has some acrylic in it (it may be 100% acrylic but I don't think so).
This is "Susan's Hat (v2)"...Misti Alpaca Chunky, #10.5 needles. It's not quite as long as the first one and I had enough yarn left to add a few more rows. I haven't blocked this one yet. I don't want to lose the softness factor of the Misti Alpaca. I'm not sure I will...I've never worked with Misti Alpaca before. Anyone?
Remember when I said I was envisioning a whole line of patterns with the same stitch pattern? Here's the scarf (pseudo-blocking)...I also have one of the baby socks finished.
I also have some other photographs to share but I think this is enough for right now...that and I'm having trouble with formatting again. Boo!
I love the pink, blue and green hat. The scarf is pretty too!
