Because I'm working on a deadline, the only project that saw any light of day this past week were the Holiday Countdown Stockings. I have two finished and I'm working on the leg of the third one. They really don't take very long but finding the time to work on them has been difficult. Between meetings for school-related things and work and general life, I've just not found as much time as I would like to work on them. But, like I said, I have two finished and I'm almost halfway finished with the third, which I'll probably finish tonight if I have the time.

I would have liked to work on other things but I resisted.

The only other fiber-related thing I did this week was I washed my Age of Brass & Steam shawl. I've worn it a bit and while it wasn't smelling "bad," I noticed that it didn't smell as delightful as my no-rinse wash. So, I washed it yesterday and hung it last night. It still bleeds quite a bit of dye but I'm not terribly worried about that. I also need to wash my Rathmore cowl. Maybe tonight.

Today is going to be a photoless update. Ever since I got my new phone, my photos haven't been automatically saving to my laptop so I have to import everything, which isn't an issue exactly as it's not difficult, but it's just one more step. Also, I didn't take any photos this week. Wait, I lie: I took two photos this week. One of Puppy laying on the couch and one of Little Man during Friday Morning Gathering, which I can't post until I heavily edit out all the other kids in the photo....which I'm just not going to do. So, there's that.

I spent this last week trying to recover (still)...and then Husband got sick. Ever since he had his throat surgery about a year and a half ago, he's hardly gotten sick but this one hit him pretty good. He's been running fevers on and off, coughing, and is generally just miserable. He might be getting over it, though. Maybe not. We'll see over the next few days.

Little Man, Stormageddon, and I are still coughing here and there. It's nothing serious, just a lingering cough, which is happening to several others. We get the plaguecold and then we're just left with this lingering cough. ::sigh::

In other random events around here, Puppy has been sniffing at our dishwasher. I don't think we have mice again but I could be wrong. I don't know where they would be getting in as we blocked their old entrance point. It looks like we will have to put out the traps and such again. Ew. I hate mice. Also, Little Man swears he saw one in the garage earlier tonight and he may have but we've never had them in the garage before. I'll have to put traps there, too.

Oh, and speaking of things going wrong at our house....we were working on a friend's car and when I came inside, I noticed some water on the floor. I noticed it the other day, too, but didn't think much about it. I thought Stormageddon had spilled some of his water. Today, I happened to look up....water dripping down from our attic entrance we had put in the last time we had a leaking roof. So, Husband moved the shelving unit and we pulled down the ladder...water came down and we now have a bucket up there, a call in to Solar City (now Tesla) about having it addressed, and I'm not a happy camper right now.

So, that's how our week has been going. I hope you've all had a lovely week and weekend :) Maybe I'll have actual photos next week...or not. We'll see how things go.

  1. Sorry your ohana is still battling a bug. I hope you kick it to the curb soon. Boo on the water leak. We dealt with ants earlier; they were coming in through the kitchen floor heating vent. I had the teen grab a lemon from the back neighbor's tree and took care of the pesty issue.
