Apparently I thought it would be a good idea to start another project, because I don't have enough going on right now. I'm using some yarn that I dyed prior to moving back to Wisconsin. It's heavily variegated, almost to the point that it's speckled with white, so I think the pattern may actually show up quite well. We'll see. I'm only on the cuff of the first one right now.

I also finished up the first of the Vanilla Socks and started the second one. I'm working down the leg on that one. It's transportable so it's probably the project I've been working on the most.

Everything else is kind of at a standstill right now. Hopefully I can remedy that soon.

The past few weeks have been lackluster, to be honest. Little Man had his first two weeks of summer school and has had this past week off. He goes back for another two weeks of summer school starting tomorrow.

In addition to summer school, Little Man is joining the National Interscholastic Cycling Association's local group. They start practice on Tuesday this week. We'll see how things go. He seems excited about it, which is always a good start. I'm not sure how he's going to feel about two hour practices twice a week in Wisconsin summer but he wanted to do this so we're letting him do this.

Stormageddon will also be having a couple weeks of swimming lessons later this summer, which we know he's excited about. He's been asking since May and we actually had to go to the town north of here to find him suitable lessons as the few that the local pool has were entirely filled.

I'm finally cleared to begin teleworking twice a week, starting next week. I'm not sure which days yet but I think one will be on Monday and the other will be either Tuesday or Wednesday. I've been there just over a year and a half at this point so teleworking, finally, is a good thing.

There isn't a whole lot else happening around here. We're using the pool and the theater and the workout space and all that, because that's what it's for. I'm working on getting my craft room in better shape (and pulling the yarn I can't use) and I'll need to get my desk area into shape for teleworking.

Oh, and I had July 4th off because it was a Federal Holiday, which really meant I was doing some of the neglected housework like mopping the kitchen and some of the laundry. It meant I could do other things yesterday and today. Like cleaning downstairs and maybe painting later. We'll see how things go.

Anyway, I hope you've had a lovely few weeks. Here are some recent photos:
