In the midst of unpacking and moving, I've discovered that I'm missing some important things. Specifically, I'm missing my wedding ring (which is my engagement ring fused to my maternal grandmother's wedding ring), my paternal grandmother's wedding ring (from her second marriage - I imagine she pawned the one from her first marriage), the ring Husband bought me while we were in Mexico on our cruise in early January, and two boxes of contacts.
So, I'm missing two family heirlooms and a not-yet family heirloom...and my extra contacts. The contacts can be easily replaced. The other three items cannot be replaced. I remember that when I was packing, I kept them out because I didn't want them to get lost. They were among the last items I packed and now that we're unpacking...I cannot find them. I've gone through the usual suspects (bathrooms and drawers) and I just can't find them.
I'm sick with worry about it, it's keeping me up at night, and I've spent a fair bit of time crying. Oh, and let's not forget the panic attacks.
So, if any of you have any mojo or loves, I could use it right now :(
Oh no! I'm sure they're buried somewhere as they're small items. Maybe search room by room first? Sending you detective finding vibes.
ReplyDeleteThink of the last thing you saw these things with maybe that will give you a clue.
ReplyDeleteHaving moved more than a couple of times, 4 in seven years, I will tell you that we had a few things tucked into boxes that we didn't think we needed and didn't find the important stuff until the next move.
Good Luck!
Oh no, I really hope you find them soon, I'd be a mess too in the same situation. Moving is the worst, I'm still finding things I haven't seen since we moved Nov 2011.
