I feel like I've done a lot of knitting this week but, really, most of it has been over the last couple of days. We've been out of town, without the boys, since Friday. So I did quite a bit of knitting on my Abracadabra Sock in the airport, some more in the hotel, and I also pulled out the Age of Brass & Steam shawl. But that's it. I think. I'll probably work on the Sockhead hat later today, on the plane, because I can....

I'm much further along than this photo. This was just after a few rounds of knitting at the airport (basically, the purple rows). I'm now into the 6th color (it's a 6-color repeat)....so, I've got about 50 rounds done. I may work on these today while traveling. Who knows. We shall see. Something something blah blah blah....

We had a pretty quiet week, to be honest.

I did find the boys sitting on a rather large pile of blankets and stuffed animals in Little Man's room the other day. He was looking for something in his bed (his Pikman stuffed animal, which I found later, stuffed between his pillows and headboard)...pulled everything out and the boys were climbing the mountain. ::sigh::

It's a good thing they're cute or I would have eaten them awhile ago.

Other than that, we had playdates on Thursday and Friday for Little Man and we left for a wedding in Washington state on Friday. Our flight was delayed in San Francisco but we managed to make our connector in Seattle...we had about 15 minutes to run through the airport and we did make it. Barely.

On Friday night, we had dinner at this place: Monterosso's. It's a railroad dining car. We didn't get to eat inside (there were few tables, all taken by reservations) but we did eat on the back patio, which was lovely. The weather was nice, the food was fabulous, and it was a night away from our boys.

Yesterday, we had a lot of time to kind of bum around. The wedding wasn't until 5pm. We slept in, got up late, went out for breakfast (JD Diner in West Richland), and we were thinking about what to do next when the groom called and asked if we (Husband) could come fix something. Husband made some lights for the reception and one of them wasn't working. So, over to the reception hall we went so Husband could fix the circuit (one of the lights was the issue). He's working very hard. Also, "reception hall" is a total misnomer.....it's an airplane hangar. Both the bride & groom are pilots so their wedding was based on that theme. The salt & pepper shakers were little airplanes, there were airplane maps as the tablecloths, there was a paper airplane making station, the "guestbook" was a huge propeller, etc.

The bride found these on Etsy and I kind of wanted to steal a few for the boys. Buuuut, she has a big bag leftover so I have a feeling they may wind up at our house anyway. Regardless, I snagged a few.

And that's it, I swear! We're heading home today, I need to get moving on some FOs and FO posts and such....hahahaha....and then I laughed and laughed.

I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend!

  1. What a cool theme for a wedding and in a hanger also! That's so neat.
