Year Eight: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - What day is it again? (Update #27)

Happy.......Tuesday. I think it's Tuesday. My days are all messed up. The 4th of July holiday always messes with me if it's not a weekend. I thought Saturday was Sunday, I thought Friday was Monday, I thought Monday was Sunday....but it's Tuesday, according to my phone and my laptop. So, I'm a little late. Oops. Let's just get moving :)

I've not done a lot of knitting over the last week or so. I think I did a few rounds of the Prototype cowl and I definitely pulled out the Returning shawl (but didn't work on it). Nothing terribly exciting.

I did do a little spinning. Tour de Fleece has started and I have no solid plans other than trying to spin here and there. I spun a little on Saturday, the day the tour started. I'm working on the Multi-Colored Merino Top. I started on it in January with about 8 oz. I've probably spun about half of it. I'm about ready to change bobbins. I haven't weighed the remaining fiber. I should maybe do that. I didn't spin for very long on Saturday, maybe an hour or so (which was probably 3/4 of an ounce because I was going fast)....but I haven't spun since then. Maybe later today. We'll have to see how things go.

Much more manageable, right? HA!

The last week or so has been kind of a blur, to be honest. Husband worked from home a few days, plus the 4th of July holiday, and he took last Friday off....my days were so screwed up. Seriously. In addition to that, our roommate also had off most of the week but he was working on something for Friday, which was delightful.

The boys have probably spent far too much time with electronics lately...but they're playing nicely for the most part. I think this was Mario Party on the WiiU but I'm not positive.

Little Man has also taken to building things again. He's done Legos and the regular letter blocks mostly but he's also hankering after boxes to make things. I have no idea how he made this. I think it came about because we were playing Jenga a couple weeks ago. It's kind of Jengaish, I suppose.

On the 4th, we took our customary trip up to Santa Rosa. Neither of the boys fell asleep in the car on the way home (or on the way up). It had to come to an end at some point, I suppose. There was swimming and food and friends. Just what you need on the 4th of July when you're an American. I probably could have fallen asleep in the pool (on pool noodles) but Stormageddon kept splashing me. ::sigh::

The below photos are recreating photos from yesteryear. One of our gracious hosts and the boys (it's his & his husband's house that we visit):

I have no idea where Stormageddon got the idea to toss up a peace sign but there it is. He probably didn't even realize he was doing it. Oh well.

Stormageddon and I also went to Ikea last week for some lightbulbs and a few other things. Now that he has his new big boy bed, we're getting him some nightlights and because we like the Hue system, smartbulbs for them...which also meant remotes but we had to order those. ::sigh:: As is customary when we go to Ikea, we had ice cream. About 20 seconds after this photo was taken, he screamed bloody murder for about 10 seconds. Brain freeze. He'd never experienced it before. I think he learned a lesson. Maybe.

But now it's Tuesday. I think. I'm still not sure. I'm not sure I'd know without my phone or laptop.

I hope you've all had a lovely week and weekend and beginning of a new week!
