Year Eight: Self-Imposed Year of Projects - I like the way you work it! (Update #35)

It's definitely Sunday around here. It's also definitely September around here. And a holiday weekend. Lessssssgo!

Woot woot! I finished up a dishcloth this week. It's made of leftover bits from two colors and I started a full skein of another color. It's nothing fancy, other than the stripes. I haven't washed it yet but at least the ends are woven in.

WIPs (Works-in-Progress) (These are carried over year to year)
1. Wink: started 5 January 2015
2. Shetland Neck Wool (support spindle): started 8 September 2017

11. Ewetopia Stripey Socks: started 15 November 2018
12. Multi-Colored Merino Top (Viktor): stared 16 January 2019
13. Prototype Something Something Raindrops: started 11 April 2019
14. Hufflepuff Hat: started 31 July 2019

With the finish, that means my WIP list is down to a respectable fourteen. Admittedly, I didn't get a lot of knitting time this week but I did do some. I'm still working down the leg of the Ewetopia Stripey Socks. I'm just past the halfway point on the leg portion, which is good. It's nice walking/distracted knitting at this point because it's literally just knitting around and around for fifty rounds.

I also pulled out the Hufflepuff Hat and I've actually started the colorwork chart. My floats may be a little too tight...we'll see when I get further along. It's kind of hard to tell because everything is still scrunched up on the needles. It's intended for Little Man but if the floats are tight, it may go to Stormageddon and I may make another one for Little Man (Bob knows I have enough yarn). I'm maybe 40% through the chart. If it keeps going as quickly as it has been, I might even have it finished  next week. And then I laughed.

The only other knitting I did was I started knitting a swatch for Husband's lederhosen socken. I took all the measurements on Friday night (from knee to foot, around his knee, the widest part of his calf, the distance between his knee and the widest part of his calf, his ankle, the distance between the widest part of his calf and his ankle, around his foot, and I traced his foot on paper and measured it).

But that's it, I swear!

This week was busy. Husband's best friend came in last weekend and they were attending a conference in San Francisco for most of the week. It meant I was doing some solo things with the boys here and there but we also had other things going on.

Apparently last Monday was National Dog Day. So, I took photos of Puppy (and Little Man). It's hard to believe we've had him 8 years now...

On Tuesday, we managed to get our hands on tickets to Hamilton in San Francisco. For free. Because of the conference Husband and his friend were attending all week.

Do you see how close the stage is? We were in the 6th row in the middle. The tickets were $325 each (face value). I almost pooped my pants when Husband asked if I wanted to go. Um......sure?! To be fair, I didn't know much about it other than it was about Alexander Hamilton (duh) and everyone that had seen it seemed to love it.

So, here's the takeaway though....the fact that Husband liked it (and is singing King George's songs randomly) says something. He doesn't like musicals. But this one he liked.

I think that's a win, yes?

Meanwhile, the boys were at home with the babysitter. They were perfect little angel boogers for her (figures)....but all was well.

Other than that, it was just work and doing school stuff and more work and yeah. Also, I went basic and had an iced pumpkin spice latte on Friday. I'm pretty sure the girl was trolling me...it's not that difficult to spell my name, is it?

::sigh::

Tomorrow is Stormageddon's 5th birthday. He keeps telling me he's not turning five and he keeps arguing with me. It would be cute if it wasn't my kid. We'll see how the day goes. I need to wrap presents later today and that's about it.

I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend :)
