Honestly, I've worked on the Sockhead. And that's it. I'm just knitting around and around and around and checking the ball on occasion for shrinkage. I still have quite a bit left so I'm not terribly fussed.

My Herbivore shawl is still stopped mid-row. I may finish that row today. We'll see how things go.

Here in California, it's raining. I should not complain. We need the rain. But rain makes people not want to come out and look at houses to buy....and that's not good for us. In this supposed "crazy" market, we have been unable to sell our house. As of tomorrow, we will have been on the market for a month. That's virtually unheard of around here. The problem is not the house. The house is great. The house is beautiful. The yard is great. The location to transportation is great. No, the issue is the damn cell phone tower on the PG&E property that is right at the back of our lot and the low-voltage lines that run the entire length of our street through everyone's backyard.

Seriously. That's what people are worried about. Forget the fact that we have fantastic cell coverage, have never lost power for more than a couple minutes in nine years, and have super quiet neighbors behind us (PG&E) and next to us (golf course). People think they cause cancer. There are more cancer-causing agents in the cell phone you keep in your back pocket than in that tower. It's so frustrating.

We've dropped the price, which may have garnered more interest but no offers.

::sigh::

It's causing some undue stress on Husband and I. We had to look into a loan to buy the property in Wisconsin...which is not great because now they could come back and say they won't sell us the house. And another loan.

We could use the mojo.

In other events, it's Little Man's 11th birthday today. Both boys are getting their first Covid vaccinations tomorrow morning and Little Man has his well-visit doctor appointment tomorrow afternoon. He got a new game on the Nintendo Switch from us (Minecraft Dungeons, I think), grandma & grandpa (Husband's parents), and great-grandma (my step-grandma; the one I made the mittens for) sent him money. I have no idea what Husband's sister or sister-in-law sent but he has two boxes from them. I'll get cake later today. He's requested chocolate, which is fine with me. He doesn't want anything fancy. I even asked if he wanted an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins or somewhere and he said, "nope." Okay then.

For now, let's have a montage of Little Man over the years...

This was the day he was born. He was a long, skinny thing. He was 22" long and the pediatrician wanted him remeasured three times because there's no way he's that long. After the third time, he was like, "okay, he's 22" long" and went to hand him to Husband, who is 6'4". Husband stood up, looked down at the pediatrician, and the pediatrician was like, "okay, he's definitely 22" long."

His first Valentine's day. He was such a little chubster. He'd get chunky, then he'd grow and get skinny. Wash, rinse, repeat...for eleven years. He's still like this.

As you do, we gave him his own little cake for his first birthday. I'd say he enjoyed...

We took him to see Husband's brother and sister-in-law when he was just over a year old. They live near Washington DC so we went out and about. We saw the Washington Monument from afar (it was closed due to an earthquake that had damaged it), saw the White House, all of that. He wasn't impressed. He did like the aquarium though.

He was almost two years old when we moved to California.

He was such a handsome little guy when we would go on cruises. And he was a total ham for the camera.

He was pretty good for formal photos, thankfully. Maybe because we started him so young?

I'm pretty sure this was from his third birthday. I don't think we had Stormageddon yet, which would make this his third.

As you can see, he's definitely my child.

Just before he turned four years old, we had Stormageddon. This is the first photo of Little Man holding his brother. He was a little scared.

Once Stormageddon comes along, photos start getting out of order a bit. I know this was his first fish face. We were in Mexico at an all-inclusive place. Stormageddon was napping (he was maybe a year old) and Little Man made his first fish face at me.

This was the Greyson sweater I made for him. Stormageddon can still wear it (barely).

This was Halloween 2017. He had his ear tubes put in that morning and we went Trick-or-Treating that night. Actually, this photo is from just before Halloween but you get the idea.

This one is from the March for Science. Well, it's actually from the doughnut shop before we went to the March for Science. But it was that day.

So. Many. Photos.

So, Little Man is 11 years old today.

And that's seriously all that's going on. I hope you've had a lovely weekend and start to the new week :)
