Let's face it. There are two weeks left in this year's posts. I'm not getting to anything on the above lists. I mean, I might wind yarn and start projects but I doubt I'll even get that far. It's fine. We have had a rough week around here.

Last Sunday we had Puppy to the emergency vet. Nothing was broken but he was obviously hurting and we made plans to get him in to see our regular vet on Wednesday. Unfortunately, the news was not good. His back leg was extremely swollen and he was refusing to eat (though he was drinking). In less than two weeks, Puppy lost about ten pounds, which was 20% of his body weight. It was likely cancer and rather aggressive. If it had just been the back leg, we would have amputated and gone on with our lives but he had at least three other noticeable lumps. So we made the decision to let him go. I went in early to work so I could leave early, and we could all be there.

So, needless to say, this past week has been a rough one.

But then both boys were home sick, too. Their Covid tests have been negative but Stormageddon has been running a fever off and on since Monday and Little Man is congested and miserable. He maybe could have gone to school on Friday but with Puppy's appointment, I said screw it and kept him home. Let the boys spend as much time with Puppy as they could.

In addition to that, we had crappy weather on Friday. We knew it was coming. I was up early, showered, and out the door an hour before I was supposed to start work. What normally takes me just under a half hour took almost 50 minutes because the snow and ice had started. It got worse throughout the day but it was done by around 1pm, which was kind of perfect as far as the roads getting plowed and such. I was able to leave work around 3:15pm and made it home without issue. Though, Husband did send me a weird photo. Apparently the property across the streets from us had a "tour" and the realtor and client decided to park in the dumbest spot:

I mean, I know we live near an awkward intersection but you parked your car in the middle of the road. I just...I mean....just..........what? On what planet would they think that was okay? I mean, if they had asked if they could use the end of our driveway, we probably would have shrugged and said, "sure" but they didn't bother. They just did....that. ::sigh::

Yesterday was a dreary, damp day and we stayed inside. We all had a nap at some point and none of us were feeling up to much of anything. And that's fine and expected. Maybe this week will be better and/or more productive. I doubt it but I can dream.

I hope you had a better week and weekend than we did.
