Admittedly, I did not do a ton of knitting this past week....and it was all on the baby blanket. The good news is that I'm almost at the point here I switch yarn colors, which means I'm almost to the end. The bad news is that I'm incapable of counting properly and I have to keep going back and counting to figure out which row I'm on. ::sigh::

Also, I've noticed a severe lack of socks on my needles. I may need to remedy that soon.

This past week has been fairly quiet. We got a significant amount of rain and the temperature finally dropped. It kind of actually felt like fall. And then this weekend hit and it was right back up into the low-mid 80s. Oh well.

We have a pool shell in our yard. And a shed. We also still have a huge hole but I think they're continuing on that this week.

We spent some time on Saturday pulling up the fencing poles and chicken wire that we had around the garden last year. We are going to put the shed up there so we needed to move things. It wasn't terribly difficult but it was hot and I do not recommend.

Husband splurged on some silk pillowcases. I've been noticing that my hair is not as soft as it could be and he was reading that silk or satin could help with that. We have some satin sheets but he thought he'd try out some silk pillowcases.

Um.....it did not go well.

I don't know if any of y'all remember but circa 2017 Tour de Fleece, I was spinning a 50/50 tussah silk and merino blend and I had the nastiest allergic reaction. I thought I had a cat affixed to my face. I chalked it up to the flying excess fibers and didn't think much beyond that.

And then Saturday night happened. I woke up several times trying to claw my hands and arms off and woke up around 5:30am to visibly swollen ears and a painful and swollen neck, in addition to wanting to claw my hands off.

Turns out I'm legit allergic to silk.

Who knew?! I'm going to have to go through my yarn and pull out things that are silk and destash, which makes me sad. But I know it needs to be done and it will be fine. But seriously?! SILK?! Who the hell is allergic to frickin' SILK?!

Apparently I'm a speshul snoflak. ::sigh::

Anyway, this is a photoless post because I don't know that I took any photos this past week.

I hope you've all had a lovely week and weekend.
