TWELFTH Self-Imposed Year of Projects - So...I realized *yesterday* that I forgot to post....(Updates #37 and #38)

I'm well aware that I missed last week. I literally remembered yesterday while we were driving to Husband's parents' house.

::sigh::

Apparently this is how I am going to be now? I don't know.

Over the past couple weeks, not a lot of knitting has occurred, aside from finishing up the fingerless mitts. Well, I shouldn't say that. I've done some knitting....but it also involved tinking back, knitting, frogging, restarting a project, tinking back, frogging, restarting again, frogging and finally getting back on track. I wish I were kidding. I put the Star Stitch Shawl on timeout to think about what it had done and I had some time to get back to it...and I was tinking back and couldn't find the mistake so I tinked back some more and still couldn't find the mistake so I wound up frogging it and starting over. A couple times. I think I'm back on track now. I think. I hope. I really don't want to frog it and restart again.

In addition to that, I also worked on the Baby Blanket. At this point, it's just growing. And it can keep growing for a few more inches. So I suppose it means I'm getting closer to the end. And then, of course, I have another one to make. Because why not.

Other than that, I've not done any other knitting. I'll get there. It'll be fine.

The past few weeks have been busy. I've started back at the gym. I have another six weeks of getting my ass kicked three times per week. We'll see how it goes. Husband was out of town this past week for work so I was running the show with the boys, and to be honest, I'm a sucker. We ate dinner out, went shopping, and did things we probably shouldn't have but here we are.

Little Man has been having some major issues with his new Nike shoes...like his back and ankles have been a hot mess. So, we picked up some Vans. And because what's good for one is good for both...and now my kids look like the skater boys of my youth.

Unfortunately, Little Man's Vans need to be broken in a bit because they're bothering the back of his foot. We'll get there. I ordered some moleskin to see if that helps with the process. And then Stormageddon's shoelaces unraveled. Both shoes. It was a hot mess. But we got new shoelaces, which should help. At least his feet don't hurt.

Also, they are absolutely standing the exact same way. I didn't realize it when I took the photo but I noticed when I sent it to Husband.

I also ordered a new book.

The author, Mercury Stardust (also known as the Handy Trans Ma'am), is local to us here in southern Wisconsin. And she's a damn delight. She's on her book tour right now and she made the New York Times Bestseller List at #1. And I like books like this, even if I never ever fully use them. They delight me. I'll get around to perusing it properly at some point.

Let's see, what else......oh, we washed and waxed cars today. Husband's car, the family car, my car, and our friend's car. I might be a bit tired and sore and that's okay.

For now, I think I'm going to call it and wander off. Maybe I'll be back next week on time but let's not hold our breath :)
