Let's start off with Bonbon:

Like I've said before, Bonbon is virtually finished, except for the face.

So, why was Bonbon out (because she certainly doesn't have a face)? I went to craft night the other night and I thought I had brought the Lakeline Tank as one of the projects...turns out it was the stuffed animals bag instead. So I pulled Bonbon out for a little photo shoot. I also pulled out Wasabi and the more and more I thought about it, the more and more I knew I didn't need to finish it....so I frogged it and wound the yarn back up and called it good.

In addition to frogging Wasabi, I also worked on the Smile & Wave Fingerless Mitts. I'm at that strange point where you're knitting around and around and every single time you stop to count your rounds, it's always 18 rounds, even if you just knit like 6 rounds. Always 18 rounds. I might finish them someday.

But that's not all, kids! The baby blanket continues to grow, which is also a plus. I'm probably halfway through it but I haven't bothered to count the actual rows because I'm worried I'll be stuck at 18.

And although this is not related specifically to WIPs, Wisconsin Sheep & Wool was this weekend and y'all, my body is so sore. I carried a lot of stuff, I bought a lot of stuff, and I'm still trying to recover. ::sigh:: No photos on what I bought though (yet).

So, as I mentioned, this past week involved a crafting night and Wisconsin Sheep & Wool. And then our usual shenanigans.

I had intended to work on my Lakeline Tank at craft night but discovered that I had not, in fact, brought the project bag with that particular project. It wasn't a big deal as I had like three other projects along...but I wanted to work on that one. Oh well. It was fine.

On Saturday, a friend and I took the boys to Sheep & Wool. Little Man was going to be fine but we knew Stormageddon was going to be a pill and he proved us correct. He's not quite old enough to appreciate the entire event. He wanted to pet sheep and eat food.

Obviously we did that. But that's about all he wanted to do. He didn't want to go shopping, even though he's an absolute yarn snob. He was just tired and crankly.

However, we all survived, and that's important.

Furthermore, Little Man started school this past week. His first day was on Tuesday.

I still can't believe that kid is in 7th grade this year. I swear I was just taking him to preschool the other day!

Also, there's a huge thing happening in our yard...

It's kind of like the Grand Canyon in how surreal it looks. The photos do not do this justice. That hole is huge. Like legit huge. That's where the pool will be going. And the structure around it. They were at the house at 7am on Tuesday (right after I left for work, they pulled into the driveway). The concrete was pulled up, the hole was dug, and since the photos, the cement for where the posts are going to attach for the outside structure.

To give you some context, the pool itself is going to be something like 720 sq ft.

So. Yeah. It's late. I have to work tomorrow. Tomorrow is Knitters Guild. I'm tired. I hope you've all had a lovely week and weekend!
