I bought yarn for a new project. Sort of. I bought another skein of the Bernat Blanket yarn to make another baby blanket. ::eyeroll:: Yes, I have another one I've been conscripted to make. I haven't actually started it yet, however.

Aside from that, I did start another project, which I haven't added to the list. I'm making a bag for Little Man for his Halloween costume. He's decided he's going to be Link from Legend of Zelda and Link has a bag that holds all his tchotchkes and rupees (money)....so Little Man asked me to make one for him. It's basically a hat with some eyelets for the tying string to go through. It's not like it's hard. And I'm just knitting around and around until I start decreases. It's really not that difficult, in the grand scheme of things.

Aside from that, I haven't worked on much else. It's fine.

It is definitely fall around here, which I'm all for. The trees are turning colors other than brown, so there's a good amount of yellow and orange on our hill, maybe even a little red...and we do have a few trees that don't lose color (or leaves/needles) at all. So, that's been a nice change. Last year it went from green to brown to nothing.

We have had some progress on our addition project. The pool has been placed and, at this point, has been filled. I mean, it's not in any sort of operating order but it needed to be filled so that everything settles correctly before the structure around it can be started. I think we're at that point. Husband has been keeping better track of the timeline than I am. The photo is from before it was filled and the surrounding rock was all in. But you get the idea.

At this point, the pool is filled with water and the area surrounding it has been filled with rocks. And maybe dirt. I'm not exactly sure. There's also wire mesh put down, which I think is for the cement that will be poured later this week. I think.

Also, I had Knitters Guild a couple weeks ago. I was having some issues with my arm/hand so I wound up doodling during the meeting instead of knitting. I mean, I did some knitting too but I was also doodling.

I feel like I need to doodle more, honestly. But I also need to knit more. So here we are...

Little Man had conferences this past week. He's having some academic issues in school, which isn't terribly surprising. So we're making some changes at home, which includes things like no more gaming during the week and homework comes home if it needs to be done, not turning it in late, that kind of thing. We had to take both kids, however because Stormageddon can't be hone by himself. It was fine.

They don't have school on Thursday and Friday this week, which is going to be all sorts of fun for Husband. It'll be fine. I still have to work. So, there's that.

Anyway, not a whole lot has been happening around here. I hope you've had a lovely couple of weeks and delightful weekends. We'll see when I wander back in here....

  1. I was so glad to see your link pop up. I have always enjoyed reading about your adventures. I love the tone of your blog also. Managing a family, working and crafting is hard.
