I've done very little knitting this past week, if we're being honest. I did pull out the Vanilla Socks and I knit a few rows on that and I know I knit a few rows on the Rainbow Hat. But, really, that was about it. We've been busy doing other things. I didn't even go to Knitters' Guild this past week.

I know. I'm shocked, too.

At this point in the year, I almost think it's silly to keep these lists but I'm still doing it. I'm also packing for our upcoming cruse, which means I'm trying to decide what project(s) to bring along and whether I really need to start something new. I'm honestly having an internal debate about starting a new project since we are driving from our house in southern Wisconsin to the port in Galveston, Texas, which is approximately 18 hours in the car. So, you know, lots of time to knit and listen to podcasts/audiobooks, not to mention a week on a boat. And because I know we've been asked and I honestly couldn't remember, I looked up the cruise itinerary to see where we're heading: Mahogany Bay (Mexico), Costa Maya (Mexico), and Cozumel (Mexico). We have been to Cozumel a few times but the other two are new spots. So, we have two 18-hour stints in the car, plus the actual cruise and while I will not be knitting the entire time, I plan to have plenty of things to work on.

Now.....I just need to figure out what those things are.....

In other random events, I think I'm going to join a MKAL with the ladies over at Pardon My Stash. I'm still debating what I'm going to work on but the idea is that it's either something that comes in pairs (socks, mittens, fingerless mitts) or something you can knit two of....I'm tossed between knitting socks, mittens, fingerless mitts, or a couple of matching hats. So, I've got that going for me.

And, of course, I've started thinking about next year's Year of Projects. Because why not. But that's another post....

Additionally, I did a bunch of adulting this past week, meaning I went to a bunch of doctor appointments. I've been waking up more often than I like looking like I've been beaten with an ugly stick. My eyes have been swollen and itchy and full of gunk. I have been less than pleased about this. I can't take the medication that will knock this out of my system because it knocks me out cold...

So I addressed this with my regular doctor and it sounds like we're going to get a referral to allergy (again) and we'll go from there. And there were other appointments, as well, because I tried to get it all done in one day. What I really wanted was to get it all done in half a day but scheduling didn't work out on that one so I wound up going into work for two hours that day, between appointments. ::sigh::

This week, I'll be working on packing, getting everything organized, and trying not to lose my mind (send mojo, I'll need it).

I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend!
