Happy Sunday!
Today marks my 51st update for the year. Next week, pending I get the enough writing time, will be the wrap-up for the year...which will probably mean a lot of photos. All those FOs will need to be revisisted or something. We'll see how things go.
But today, it's just a regular update :)

30. Swatch for The Dude: started July 16, 2014; finished December 19, 2014
I finished up a few things this week. The Sorin hat is finished, washed, blocked and ready to be shipped off to Wisconsin. The rest of the items were already sent but the hat and matching mittens would not dry fast enough (thanks to all the rain we've had, it's pretty damp around here lately)...so, rather than make the kids wait, I shipped off their stuff and I'll ship the hat and mittens later.....after I get proper photographs and an FO Friday post :)
I also finished my swatch for The Dude Sweater for Husband. It honestly should not have taken me so long to make this swatch. It was 6"x6" before I washed it...in 1x1 ribbing. There's no reason it took five months other than I was working on other things.
And I made a dishcloth. It's not on the list because it's just another Grandma's Favorite. Nothing exciting.
Works-In-Progress (WIPs)
1. Dragon's Egg Socks: started September 2, 2013
2. Pacific Shawl: started June 8, 2014
3. Snape's Stockings: started August 20, 2014
4. Elefante: started December 19, 2014
During the last week, I've worked on a few random things. Aside from finishing the hat, the swatch, and the dishcloth, I also worked on, or attempted to work on, all of these projects. I'm working what is probably my last pattern repeat on the first of my Dragon's Egg Socks, then I have to do the toe, which shouldn't take that long. I have to work on these without children around because I have to read charts and all that. I also pulled out my Pacific Shawl but I could not seem to brain what was going on (though I think I understand it now). I need to put a lifeline in and then I'll revisit it. Again, one for "no children/distractions" knitting because of the charts. Snape's Stockings were taken out, admired, and put back for the time being. I have a feeling I'll be hitting these hard again soon enough. Although I have to read a chart, it's the kind of chart that you can memorize for a couple rows and that's a bit easier than the kind where I have to look at it on every single row. And then.......I started a new project :) Elefante is going to be for Husband's niece for her 3rd birthday (this summer). I figure I can knock it out in six months....maybe significantly less than that. I've already got the four legs done and I'm working on the body. There's nothing too taxing about it (yet). I may change my tune when I get to the ears...because the ears are crocheted. ::sigh::
And here are my "OMGLSGWTFBBQ ARE YOU THINKING?!" lists....(let's all laugh!)

This past week has been rainy and filled with things like leaky roofs (ours), backyard lakes (again, ours), and lots of Christmas shopping (by me). I spent some time out with the boys this week, doing some Christmas shopping in the rain. I hope everything is taken care of...and that I didn't forget anything (I'm pretty sure I didn't but we'll see). Husband was out late two nights this past week, one to see the new Hobbit movie, and the other because something crashed at work. It was okay though as I spent five hours without children on Thursday afternoon (and the previous two hours with only the baby). Glorious!
Anyway, expect a pretty substantial post next week, including photos.....if I can get it all to come together :)
I hope you've had a good week and weekend and all of that!
It sounds as though you have been very busy! I'm looking forward to seeing your round up post.
