Admittedly, there hasn't been much knitting this week. Or crocheting. I worked a bit on the new Sockhead hat but I'm still in the midst of ribbing hell so it's going to be awhile. I also pulled out my Granny Square Blanket and worked a bit on the current square (which is my 6th one).

I pulled out the finished five and took a quick photo. I can figure out the order I worked them, based on how the colors are. I started with the top one. Then I did the bottom right, then the bottom left, then the top right, and lastly, the top left. The sixth one is maybe three rounds from being finished. That's lovely.

I think that was about it for actual yarn work this week. I was busy doing other things.

This week was.......busy. But, to be fair, what week hasn't been busy lately? I spent much of my time this week getting things taken care of around the house. Husband left for a work trip to India yesterday morning so things like laundry and cleaning needed to happen before he left. I think we'll be okay for a couple of weeks.

Little Man and I both had dentist appointments this week. I also went back to my eye doctor about the daily contact lenses that I've had. Oh, and swimming lessons. And a few other random appointments Honestly, it was all okay and everything was taken care of accordingly.

I spent a bunch of time this week working on auction-related things and I've still not finished. Honestly though, the work for the auction is never finished. It just isn't.

Stormageddon saved us all from the zombie gingerbread cookie by biting the head off :)

On Thursday, Husband sent me on a quest to find a Santa hat. I couldn't buy just one...so I got four of them. Stormageddon wanted one and if I was buying two, I needed to get a third for Little Man and then Stormageddon said I needed one...so four came home. ::sigh:: I'm such a sucker sometimes.

Friday morning was a little.....difficult. Stormageddon didn't want to cooperate with anything but he did want to show me leaves on our way home and insisted that I take photos. ::sigh:: Silly child.

Thankfully, Little Man had a playdate after school.

They played Minecraft and had ice cream and played with his friend's kitties (they have two - the one above is named Nun and loved Little Man). Soooo, yeah.

Yesterday, we took Husband to the airport and then went out to breakfast, went to the gym, and then went to the mall to see Santa. Waiting in line is always challenging but the boys were pretty good.

In addition to that, we also went to a Hanukkah party last night. One of Little Man's really good friends from school is Jewish so we did a latke party. I'm not sure Little Man is sold on latkes but he tried them and that was lovely.

So, there's all that :)

I hope you've had some sort of fun this past week and have had a good weekend. I'll be back next week :)  Well, that's the intention, anyway :)

  1. The boys look like they are all ready for Christmas. Have you considered frogging Wink? You’ve achieved a lot in the year, and with 2 young boys, very impressed.

  2. The colors in those granny squares makes me think the finished blanket will be so soft looking. Great Christmas-time pictures of the boys. :)

  3. Love the gingerbread cookie pics. Christmas takes on a whole new meaning when young ones are involved. Your pics are so delightful.
