With all the knitting I did last week, you would think I'd be on a finishing kick or a progress kick or something but, alas, that was not to be. I did do some knitting this week but not like I did last week. I worked on my Abracadabra Socks (working on the foot decreases) and the prototype cowl and the dishcloth. Nothing terribly exciting.

OMGLSGWTFBBQ Lists

Challenges (this is new for 2019)
1. Knit 1 granny square a month (average) until I'm out of yarn (for the Granny Square Blanket in my WIP list above): It is July (almost August...wuuut?!)...I've finished my 9th square and started my 10th. Based on my change to making one square a month instead of two, I'm ahead! But I was behind before this....soooo....take it as you wish. Regardless, I need to work on this.
2. Submit and/or publish 2 designs this year. I'm not having high hopes for this but we'll see what happens.

It's been hot this week. Like annoyingly hot. All the shades drawn, air conditioners running, don't want to do anything....yeah, that kind of hot. ::sigh:: It looks like the heat is going to break this week though, which I will find delightful.

That doesn't mean we've kept ourselves totally locked away, though. We've been to the park a few times, we did a few things around the house, the usual things for the most part.

I tried to teach Stormageddon how to balance a Koosh Ball on his face but he kept wiggling He was also mad that I kept adjusting it when he wiggled. Oh well.

Our pilot friend and I took the boys to the park this week. I had to get some bloodwork done so I dropped them off and found the three of them running around like crazy people. She's going to make a great mom someday (but not yet - her and her husband, also a pilot, haven't even been married a year yet). The boys claimed that area as their own island. Or something like that.

I've been sleeping in Stormageddons room for the past few days. We're trying to break him of the habit of coming into our bed at night. So far, he's needed a couple reminders to go back to his own bed. He gets up to go potty and then climbs into our bed. One night, I had to go fish him out after he didn't come back from the potty. Friday night, Husband had to tell him to go back to his own room. The funny thing is that he really likes his new bed...and yes, he did try to climb under it. He got in about ↑ that far...couldn't get his head under. And then he just grinned at me. Silly boy.

Little Man made his own flag on Friday. It doesn't have enough stars or stripes but he tried and got the general idea. He put it on his "restaurant" table (that you can see behind him). Love that boy.

Yesterday, Husband, Little Man, and I got haircuts while we were out. Mine took the least amount of time...probably because it was all cut to one length. I had about 5" cut off. Both Husband and Little Man needed it...hair in their eyes.

Basically, I had almost all the blonde cut off my ends...almost. That was from when I dyed my hair funny colors like purple and blue and such. Now that it's all gone and it's hot, I cut off the icky part. I was having trouble getting a comb and a brush through it anyway.

Stormageddon also got a haircut but it was after we got home. He had a little tantrum about not getting his haircut while we were out but I cut his at home. And when we got home, he decided to put slime in his hair. Again. So, he got his haircut yesterday, as well. ::sigh::

Other than that, the only things that happened were doctor appointments (pre-surgical stuff for me as I'm having surgery on Tuesday - nothing major, just an umbilical hernia repair) and a conversation with the company I was working for in May/June. Sounds like they want me to come back so that conversation is happening in August, hopefully after I'm off the narcotics from the surgery. We'll see.

Exciting times abound!

I hope you've all had a lovely week and weekend!
