Woo Monday! I have off today because it's a Federal Holiday in the US and I work for the Federal Government. Sooooo, I'm a day late. It's fine. Let's get going!

Admittedly, I've done very little knitting this week. Like a ridiculous amount of little. I knit two whole rows on the Baby Blanket and I honestly think that may have been it.

I've spent most of this last week trying to do other things (and failing miserably there, as well)....so honestly, I'm very boring this week.

Apparently winter heard all of Wisconsin talking smack and decided to dump on us all at once. Up until this past week, we have had a very mild winter: hardly any snow, temps hanging around in the low-mid 30s (that's Fahrenheit, not centigrade), generally agreeable......and then we got like 7" of heavy, wet snow on Tuesday (my office closed early), then we got a couple inches over night Wednesday into Thursday morning, and then we got something like 12" on Friday (my office was closed and everyone worked from home). And now? Now our high temperature is 3ºF but it's actually like -4º right now and it's going to be cold like this all week.

So, winter dumped all over us this week and it has not been pleasant.

In addition to that, we're still trying to get over the RSV that's running through the house. I'm mostly over it, though I'm still coughing. Saturday was particularly difficult because I was outside shoveling/snowblowing and the cold air triggered my asthma, which triggered more coughing....Saturday was not pleasant.

I think Husband and Little Man are mostly over it. I don't think Stormageddon actually got it, which is good. But the rest of us have been dealing with it. Hopefully it just skips him. That would be ideal.

Construction on the house is kind of at a stand-still right now. We're waiting on a few things and with it being so cold and the weather being icky, we haven't been able to move forward. The electrician was supposed to come and do a walk-through on Friday but cancelled due to weather. Husband and I did go out last weekend and marked where we wanted electrical outlets. We didn't do the downstairs because it's mostly pool but we know we will need some outlets in the garage and maybe on the back end of that room.

Once we get the electrician in here, we can start moving forward on getting the electrical and plumbing done. We have those two things, drywalling, flooring, painting, and the theater set-up with speakers and such left...and some windows and doors. But, we've had a few of the subcontractors out sick and then the weather took a giant poo on us so it put us behind, which isn't the worst thing in the world, but it means we may not be done til late March or early April.

Other than that, there hasn't been much happening around here. We're talking about what we want to do for a vacation and Husband suggested we go out to California, which I'm all for doing...as long as we don't drive. I don't want to make that drive. Of course, summer would be better than winter but it's still a long drive. So, we'll see what happens.

I hope you've had a lovely week and weekend and that the weather has been behaving for you (because it sure has not for us). Maybe I'll have something finished soon...or not.
