TWELFTH Self-Imposed Year of Projects - The penguin made me do it (Update #10)

So...um....yeah. It's Wednesday right now. I'm apparently running a bit behind. Again.

Let's talk about knitting!

17. Wasabi for Mr. K: started 10 March 2023

Except for the face, Bonbon is finished. I even wove in ends the other day. This photo is from Saturday afternoon. I was about halfway through the head at that point.

Because I'm almost finished with Bonbon, I started on Wasabi. I think I'm using some leftover Cascade 220 and I'm hoping I don't run out. I think I'll be okay. We'll see how things go. I don't have photos of that, though.

In addition to Bonbon and Wasabi, I also spent some time on the dishcloth and the Socks I'm making for Little Man. I didn't spend a lot of time on them, but I did pull them out and work on them.

I think the only other project I worked on was my Smile & Wave Fingerless Mitts. I'm almost finished with the first one. I have maybe 10 rounds and the thumb left on that one.

The past week flew by and I'm not sure how or why that happened. Of course we had another snowstorm, because why not. The boys wound up having a two hour delay on Friday but that was it. And as of this writing, most of that snow has melted. We wound up getting several inches.

It was because of the snow that we met another one of our neighbors. I mean, he lives a few miles down the road but when you live in the country, that still counts as "neighbors." Anyway, said neighbor was driving home late on Thursday night and slid off the road south of our house because the roads were bad. We live in an area where cell signals are...well, they don't really exist out here, so he couldn't call anyone. He managed to walk almost a mile to our house and managed to rouse Husband, who took him home. Husband, in turn, woke me because he didn't want me to wake up wondering where he was off to in the middle of a snowstorm.

So, that's some of our excitement. I also spent time with my second favorite puppy, who is our friend's puppy. I say "puppy" but she's 3 years old and not really a puppy anymore but all doggies are puppies, even as they get old. They're always just puppies. And my friend and I were knitting at the time, because of course we were. She's working on a blanket for her niblet (her sister is pregnant). I was working on Bonbon, most likely.

Other than that, not much else happened. I knew we had a week and things happened but that was about it. Apparently it was all very exciting. Or not. Take your pick.

Anyway, I hope you've had a good week and weekend. I'll be back in a few days!

Additional: apparently I didn't hit "post" on this...so now it's Thursday. ::eyeroll::
